This week here at Oak Hill in grades 3rd – 5th, students were learning how to summarize both fiction and nonfiction texts.  Check and see if they know the difference.  In science students observed, compared, demonstrated, and in 5th grade designed activities associated with force, motion, and energy.  Great experiments were seen throughout the school. For math, 1st grade students were subtracting; 3rd graders were working on patterns and their relationships to solve multiplication and division problems; and 5th graders were working on fractions.

At the same time, many students are writing stories for Veteran's Day about a family hero.  Soon you will be able to see these writings on our Oak Hill walls.

Actually, if you walk our building you will see lots of student work posted.  Come and see.
